The following design documents were developed in 2007:

- Neretva-Ulog HPP:  Preliminary Design and Prefeasibility Study;
- Janjske Otoke HPP:  Preliminary Design and Prefeasibility Study;
- Bileća HPP:  Preliminary Design and Feasibility Study.

The Neretva-Ulog HPP project is a result of the assessed hydropower potential of the upper course of the Neretva River in Republika Srpska (downstream from the Town of Ulog). The system will be comprised of:

- A dam and reservoir (at Nedavić);
- A delivery system (Nedavić-Grad);
- A dam and reservoir (at Grad);
- Diversion-type Nedavić HPP (Qins = 35 m3/s; Pins = 33 MW; Eyr = 75 GWh);
- Run-of-river-type Grad HPP (Qinss = 4 m3/s; Pins = 3 MW; Eyr = 11 GWh).

 

 

The Janjske Otoke HPP will be located on the Janj River (western Republika Srpska), which empties into the Plav River (the Vrbas River Basin) near the Town of Šipovo. Given that the landscape in the HPP site area is extremely attractive, the position of the Project Engineer was that all hydropower and water management facilities should be installed away from the immediate Janjske Otoke zone (i.e., upstream and downstream). The proposed solution includes:

  • Phase 1: Downstream intake, a long diversion conduit and an HPP at Mujdžić - Qins=16 m3/s, Pins=7.54 MW, Eyr=35.39 GWh;
  • Phase 2: Upstream dam and run-of-river HPP - Qinss=2.5 m3/s, Pins=0.6 MW, Eyr=3.83 GWh, plus a short-conduit diversion-type HPP - Qins=6 m3/s, Pins=2.95 MW, Eyr=4.85 GWh.


The system of hydroelectric power plants on the Trebišnjica River, East Herzegovina, will include the Bileća HPP for purposes of which water from „Upper Horizons“ will be delivered via the Fatnica-Bileća Tunnel to the Bileća Reservoir. The characteristics of this flow-through facility will be:
Qins = 60 m3/s
Pins = 33 MW
Eyr = 116 GWh (including Nevesinje waters)
