altThe Department of Hydraulics is the oldest department at JCI and has been JCI’s core since its founding in 1947. The Department of Hydraulics (the Hydraulics Laboratory) has always been exemplary, not only in Serbia, but in the wider region of the former Yugoslavia and beyond.
The Hydraulics Laboratory has, at its disposal, a large hall with a surface area of 3600 m², of which it uses some 3000 m² to accommodate and service hydraulic models. Since the hall is both large and high, the Department of Hydraulics is able to build large-scale models and achieve a high level of hydraulic similitude, which is particularly advantageous for models of high dams.

The Hydraulics Laboratory also features a 120m long current-meter calibration canal and a glass canal equipped with a wave generator for simulations of marine hydraulic structures.  

The Department of Hydraulics has its own extremely well-equipped workshop, where all JCI modeling, precision machining, carpentry, and fitting work is performed.
