Mr. Milan Radovanović, GE, was born in 1954 in Obrenovac, Serbia.

He graduated from the University of Belgrade, School of Mining and Geology/Department of Hydrogeology in 1978.

At JCI, he advanced from Assistant Researcher (1978), to Researcher (1980), to Senior Researcher (1983), to Chief Researcher (1986), and to Lead Researcher (1994) in the Department of Hydrogeology and Groundwater. In 1994, he was appointed Managing Director of this Department.

During the course of his career, Mr. Radovanović was involved in the development, coordination, and management of a large number of groundwater regime studies and projects.

He has published some 30 papers on the protection of farmland and populated areas from shallow groundwater, assessment of the extent of river reservoirs and their impact on groundwater in riparian lands, groundwater protection, groundwater abstraction for municipal water supplies, groundwater safeguard zones, and other topics.

Mr. Radovanović has worked on several research projects within Serbia. As an appointed expert, he represents Serbia in a number of bilateral commissions. Beginning in 1987, he has been a member of the Joint Serbian-Romanian Iron Gate Commission.
