JCI has an excellent reputation, as evidenced by the numerous and very significant references JCI has accumulated over the last fifty years. In addition to producing countless studies, plans, project documents, and water management strategies, JCI participated in the design and construction of the most significant water systems and facilities in Serbia and a large number of outstanding facilities in the former Yugoslavia and around the world. JCI’s history can be divided into two significant periods: the period from its founding in 1947 to the end of the 20th century, and the period from 2000 forward.

JCI has also gained significant international experience through projects implemented in African, Middle East, Far East, Central American, South American, and European countries.  JCI has been particularly active in Libya (Wadi Gattara Dam, Wadi Meganin Dam, Misurata Harbor, Homs Harbor, Tripoli Harbor, the Ghot Sultan Water Supply System, and numerous irrigation systems), in Iraq (Hemren Dam, Saddam Dam, Bekhme Dam, Badush Dam, and numerous irrigation and drainage systems), in Iran (Ostour Dam, Tange-Soleyman Dam), in Algeria (Ouizert Dam), and in Peru (Chira-Piura Project/Poechos Dam).
