  1. Name a focal person and provide his/her coordinates to all members of the network and UNESCO.
  2. Facilitate the selection of expert group members in consultation with UNESCO.
  3. Develop and implement an outreach strategy of the Southeast European G-WADI network in cooperation with the UNESCO hydrologists in the region. This must include setting up of a web site at the Southeast European G-WADI Secretariat hosting institute server, preparation of brochures, posters and other materials, in consultation with other members of the Southeast European G-WADI.
  4. Seek information and news from all members of the network to be published as news item in the web of the Global and Southeast European G-WADI network.
  5. Maintain the record of the members of the network, their activities, and lead the implementation of the approved regional workplans.
  6. Maintain records of the Southeast European G-WADI meetings in Southeast Europe and globally.
  7. Act as liaison between the Southeast European and Global G-WADI network, other IHP initiatives, relevant Category II Centers (particularly ICIWaRM) and relevant partners.
  8. In close coordination with hydrologists in the region, the Global G-WADI Network, ICIWaRM (global technical secretariat) and the Southeast European G-WADI Advisory Group, and in consultation with other members of the network, prepare an annual plan of action for the network. This workplan should take into consideration the IHP global and regional recommendations.
  9. Prepare an annual report to be presented at the next meeting of the members of the Southeast European G-WADI network
